I updated the video card driver from the device manager and windows finally detected my installed video card (Radeon RX 480). I had a standard display adapter in my device manager. Finally I discovered that my video card driver was not installed after running the driver installation from the cd.
Then I made sure I had Service Pack 1 installed. I had to first make sure I had the latest updates for windows 7 pro. I had the same problem, but I finally got it solved. Tried many things found here in the forum/support.
